Senior-Dating.org Helps Single Seniors Find Companionship

There are 40 million seniors in the U.S. alone and 16 million of them are single. What’s more, those numbers are set to double in the next 30 years. That’s a lot of lonely people looking for companionship and more. Senior Dating is a new website that aims to demystify the whole subject and offer practical advice and tips on the subject of dating in later life.

It was founded by Kathy Damer, whose experience as the Marketing Director of a large retirement community near Toronto, Canada, gave her a wide knowledge and understanding of the personal challenges facing seniors today. “Many people in later life find themselves single again, either through bereavement or divorce, and have no idea how to go about finding a partner,” explains Kathy Damer, “It’s a natural human instinct to want to connect and share your life with someone at any age but it can be hugely intimidating to start again in your senior years.” “I found that an increasing number of people were asking me for advice about senior dating and how to meet people online and I wanted to guide them towards a trusted source of information. The trouble was that I couldn’t find one!” So Kathy set out to create that trusted source to meet the growing needs of an increasingly web-savvy senior population. 40% of seniors now have a computer at home and in the U.S., there are over 50,000 seniors enrolled in college courses.

Senior-dating.org features a weekly blog about all aspects of dating and relationships in later life, with a particular focus on helping seniors meet people online.
